The objectives of the SWIFT (Supporting awareness and dissemination activities for GMES Fast Track services) project were:
- to support the dissemination actions that were going to be performed by other collaborative projects in the different application fields of GMES (Land Monitoring Core Service, Marine Core Service, Emergency Response Support Service, as well as Atmospheric composition and dynamics monitoring and Security related activities).
- to promote the GMES initiative as a whole. The support mainly consisted of operating the www.gmes.info website, which has turned to become a central portal to access GMES-related information, and providing the European Commission with a regular monitoring of activities undertaken by the various GMES stakeholders
The role of SQUARIS was to elaborate communication and information tools (News and E-Newsletter as well as Press Reviews on a regular basis) and to provide support to the European Commission when necessary (conferences, workshops, exhibitions). https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/218789
